NEIL YOUNG

Neil Young is a Canadian singer/songwriter, musician and film director. His work is known for deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and his tenor singing voice. Although he playsn several different instruments—including piano and harmonica, his acoustic guitar style and often chaotic electric guitar soloing are. Although Young has experimented widely with different music styles, including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music throughout his career, he is best known for his work that usually fall into two distinct styles, acoustic folk/country ("Heart of Gold", "Harvest Moon" and "Old Man") and hard rock (like "Cinnamon Girl", "Rockin' in the Free World" and "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)"). In recent years, Young has adopted elements from newer music styles (including alternative country, industrial, and grunge). Young's influence on Grunge caused many people to dub him "the Godfather of Grunge". One of the greatest guitarists and songwriters of all time.
